Modified LCD monitor with very low electromagnetic emissions - year 2012

This is the third version of our modified LCD monitors with low electromagnetic
emissions. In this version we abandoned the plastic and metal frame of the
original LCD monitor and built a new structure made of cardborad and some wood
profile.
This was a 19" 1440 x 900 pixel, with VGA input. Like the previous version,
the backlight was provided by strips of white LEDs designed especially for this,
and the monitor's electronic board was enclosed in a thick metal box placed on
the back of the structure. Finally, the DC power was provided by a linear
power supply with two outputs, that creates very low electromagnetic noise and
radiation.
The results for the reduction of the electromagnetic emissions are very good,
and the brightness of the display is uniform enough for typical computer
applications, and for watching video.
